On September 9th, shortly after Brian and I submitted our application video to the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Ultimate Thailand Explorers Competition I wrote a post that shared our contest strategy - to “out work ‘em”. Now with only 10 Days left of voting, that strategy continues.
We’ve been experimenting with all kinds of ways to make our content engaging and promote our quest to Thailand. Just last week we tried something new with how we display our photos on our posts. You can check it out here. Today’s experiment dives into the world of podcasting.
My brother Nick, whom you’ve met before in this YouTube Clip here, has a podcast called Nick’s Audio Blog. On Sunday he gave me a ring on Skype and recorded a 9-minute interview with me. Now here’s what impressed me…I’m in South Africa and he is in Massachusetts in the United States. We are thousands of miles away, but through the magic of technology we were talking as if we were in the same room in our house. Wow!

It’s my first time working with podcasts, so there’s much I need to learn. But what Brian and I want you to know, is that we are deeply committed to taking risks, making mistakes and having fun, all in an effort to bring the City of Pattaya to life for you as Ultimate Thailand Explorers. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
There is great competition among the 5 cities. And while competition may discourage some, it motivates us. It should motivate you too to vote for Ben and Brian to Pattaya, Thailand here.
