Orlando is home to lots of, what I call, “Tacky Tourist” stores. You’ll find souvenir shops with wizards, shuttles, oranges and everything else imaginable on the roofs lining the main tourist streets. Most of these stores sell towels, t-shirts and other assorted items.
But on a recent pop-in, I came across these pairs of underwear that made me laugh…

On the one hand, those granny panties are a bit too baggy for my tastes. But on the other hand, they would be hilarious to wear, wouldn’t they?
What pair of briefs would you wear? Share by commenting.

Hey Adventurers,
I got my “All Over at Haulover” this weekend.
I’m sure the title of today’s post got you all uncomfortable, but it shouldn’t. Haulover Beach in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is known for a small stretch that allows nudity. If you’ve never been nude at a nude beach, add it to your adventure list. It’s an adventure worth having once – and you’ll probably enjoy it enough you’ll go back again.

Alright adventurers,
We need everyone’s help here. My buddy Kyle Berner, CEO of Feelgoodz, has been affected by the BP Oil Spill. He was supposed to start selling his summer line of flip flops early this summer, but couldn’t because his shipment was delayed to the Port of New Orleans because of the spill. So with a much shorter selling season, he’s been struggling to make his sales and repay a loan that’s due on Wednesday. You can read the full story at Change.org.

This week I’m celebrating going “Down Under”. In preparation for going down under to Australia, next February, I’m going down under this weekend and getting SCUBA certified. So today’s post is about another time I went down under – into a gold mine.
In July of 2007 I had the opportunity to descend into a real gold mine in South Africa. It is probably one of the most amazing, adventurous and memorable experiences I ever had. I first wrote about it on my old blog. I’m republishing the story again (with a few edits) on adventureswithben.com. It’s a bit descriptive so I’m sharing it over the course of two posts. You’ll have to return tomorrow for part 2.

Quick, leave work early. Feelgoodz Flip Flops are arriving in Orlando today!
What are Feelgoodz?

Feelgoodz are Flip Flops.
But not just any flip flops; they come from Thailand and are the most comfortable flip flops ever, seriously! I wore them all around Pattaya when I packed them for my trip to Thailand during the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Competition.

From the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Pattaya Blog Archive [originally published 5 December 2009].
In an effort to reach out to new voters and new ways of promotion, I partnered with my friend Kyle Berner, CEO of Feelgoodz Flip Flops. His sells flip flops made in Thailand. We bought some, packed them in our suitcase and brought them with us. We promoted him, he promoted us. I don’t know how many voters or press that got us, but his flops are really comfortable. You should definitely check them out!

I travel for business, many of you know that. And as such, I have to wear nice clothes and sometimes don’t always have the chance to see and do everything in the city I’m visiting. That’s why it’s so important to plan ahead and select the 1 thing to do. As long as I do that, I can leave happy. Everything else is a bonus.

Welcome to Pilanesberg National Park and the Ivory Tree Game Lodge; Our home for the next few days. Pilanesberg is a great park to view all the African animals in your field book. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do. It’s Africa Week here at adventureswithben.com and each day I’m going to bring to you some highlights from my time game spotting at the park.

How to Get on TV
Last week I wrote about Watching The Ellen Show Tape at Universal Studios. Well as luck would have it – and that’s exactly what it was, I ended up at the taping of America’s Got Talent. It was at the Hard Rock Live at Universal Orlando. I’m pleased to be able to share with you what the experience was like. And as an added bonus, I’ve got some tips to share with you on “how to get on TV” – because I think I’ll be on it.

Last week’s post may have caught you by surprise; Your eyes weren’t fooling you. I was wearing a cowboy hat!
After a successful week at work in the City of Calgary, my host and client wanted to thank my colleague and I for a job well-done with a Calgary Tradition: A White Hat. Out of respect for my client and my personal full-time job, I won’t share the details of what I did to earn the hat, but the tradition in Calgary dates back all the way to 1961. But the popularity of the hat goes back even further.
