Without a doubt, The Bubble Room ranks as the #1 kitschy restaurant I’ve ever discovered anywhere IN THE WORLD! That’s a pretty strong statement, I know, but after reading today’s post I think you’ll agree with me. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you spot the building that looks like every color of paint was just poured over it. Let the fun begin!

The Bubble Room does not take reservations, so arrive in advance. Even in the low season when I visited, waits were upwards to an hour or so. Arrive for an early dinner (5:00ish and you’ll walk right in). Plus, it’s easy to find parking in the lot.

It was time.
In honor of turning 30, I decided to conquer my fears and celebrate in a way that true adventures would – skydiving. But unlike Bungee Jumping, I didn’t go at it alone. I convinced my dad, brother and Brian to jump with me. If you’re a first-time jumper (like I was), curious to discover what Skydiving is like or simply want to relive your own skydiving adventure, here’s a primer on what to expect (and my play-by-play reaction) from my jump with Skydive Space Center* in Titusville, Florida.

As an adventurer, I’ve done some pretty adrenaline-inducing activities. From bungee jumping in front of Victoria Falls, walking with lions in South Africa, SCUBA Diving with Sharks in the Great Barrier Reef and (yes) eating jellyfish in Singapore, I’ve had my share of thrills. But one thing was missing from that list – Skydiving.
Skydiving is arguably the ultimate of adventure sports. And for many reasons, I always left it at the bottom of the adventure list.

If you followed my facebook updates last week you saw that I was one of 150 people invited by NASA for their #NASATweetup of STS-135: The Final Shuttle Launch. Sure I could describe the moment in a ton of superlatives and cliche expressions, but instead, I’ll just let the pictures tell the story.
The NASA VAB – Vehicle Assembly Building at 5:15 A.M. It’s an empty building right now.

The official NASA Countdown Clock at 5:30 in the morning. This is the shot you see on TV all the time.

 RoriTravel, Lauren, adventures with ben
Florida is probably best known for it’s beaches, theme parks and natural wetlands. It is not known for it’s stunning mountains and cliffs – which is why I was quite confused when fellow travel blogger and friend RoriTravel (you can read her perspective on the day here) invited me to Quest Air Hang Gliding* to go hang gliding in Central Florida. Wh-wh-what? Here are 6 surprises I discovered as you think about having your own hang gliding adventure.
1. You Can Hang Glide in Florida!

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to visit Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo as part of my monthly meet-up with the Central Florida Chapter of Travel Blog Exchange.com. Our host Jason Davis, Marketing Manager of the zoo, took us around and shared with us all sorts of fun facts, conservation messages and highlights from this gem of a zoo. Here’s what we discovered:
1. Dino Quest

Today’s post is especially for Central Floridians. If you don’t live in Florida or plan on visiting in the next month, why not read another ferocious animal post from the past: Attacked by a Lion?
Jurassic Park is my favorite movie and book. The Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. is my favorite of the Smithsonian Museums, simply because of it’s fossilized skeletons. So I think it’s clear that, I love dinosaurs.
