<p style="text-align: left;">Without a doubt, <em><a title="Bubble Room Restaurant" href="http://bubbleroomrestaurant.com/frameset.html" target="_blank">The Bubble Room</a></em> ranks as the #1 kitschy restaurant I&#8217;ve ever discovered anywhere <span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>IN THE WORLD! </strong><span style="color: #000000;">That&#8217;s a pretty strong statement, I know, but after reading today&#8217;s post I think you&#8217;ll agree with me. You&#8217;ll know you&#8217;ve arrived when you spot the building that looks like every color of paint was just poured over it. Let the fun begin!</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271817.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7787" title="BubbleRoomSign" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271817.jpg" alt="P9271817 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The Bubble Room does not take reservations, so arrive in advance. Even in the low season when I visited, waits were upwards to an hour or so. Arrive for an early dinner (5:00ish and you&#8217;ll walk right in). Plus, it&#8217;s easy to find parking in the lot.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271821.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7796" title="BubbleRoomParkingSign" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271821.jpg" alt="P9271821 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<h2 style="text-align: left;">Bubble Room Food</h2>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271825.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7784" title="BubbleBread" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271825.jpg" alt="P9271825 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>You honestly don&#8217;t come here for the food, with a few exceptions. Their Bubble Bread and Sticky Buns (shown above) are what they are most famous for. Who could argue with sticky buns as an appetizer, right? And the Bubble Bread, made from cream cheese has it&#8217;s own unique flavor. It&#8217;s easy to load up on both breads alone, so watch yourself.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271826.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7785" title="BubbleRoomEntree" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271826.jpg" alt="P9271826 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>Entrees, on the other hand, are very over-priced and nothing to write home about. They hover around $20+ per plate. Prices are clearly absent on their homepage (perhaps as a way to avoid sticker shock). I&#8217;ve had a lot of delicious meals, this wasn&#8217;t one of them. I&#8217;m thinking the prices are needed to pay the housekeeper who has to dust all the stuff scattered on the walls, floors and ceiling.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271822.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7786" title="BubbleRoomDesserts" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271822.jpg" alt="P9271822 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>While the entrees are just okay, you will want to save room for dessert. They are well-known for their Red Velvet Cake, but the Orange Crunch Cake was equally as yummy. Portion sizes are gigantic. You&#8217;ll end up taking them home to finish.</p>
<h2>Bubble Room Decor</h2>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271828.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7788" title="BubbleRoomTable" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271828.jpg" alt="P9271828 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>The Bubble Room Experience is more about the decor than the food. And what&#8217;s the decor like inside? Imagine walking into the house of one of those hoarders you see on TV &#8211; but instead of cat food, newspapers and old clothes, these hoarders fill their house with crap from the 1930&#8242;s, 40&#8242;s and 50&#8242;s. It&#8217;s a mix of Hollywood, Christmas, Disney and Antiques all rolled into one. Everything from floor to ceiling is filled with this C-R-A-P. But that&#8217;s what makes it fun!</p>
<p>The table you dine on has a glass top. Underneath is a random assortment of even more crap (shown above). You&#8217;ll point endlessly all meal long saying &#8220;look at that&#8221;. Each room has a quasi-theme to it, although everything tends to blend together. When you&#8217;re done eating, you must take some time and wander around. This is, after all, why you come here in the first place.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll discover&#8230;</p>
<p>Bubble Christmas Lights. When was the last time you saw those?</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271845.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7789" title="BubbleLights" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271845.jpg" alt="P9271845 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>A creepy monkey.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271841.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7792" title="BubbleMonkey" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271841.jpg" alt="P9271841 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>Even creepier antique dolls.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271840.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7791" title="BubbleDolls" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271840.jpg" alt="P9271840 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p> Be sure to checkout the Fish Tank Room upstairs where you can dine with real fish!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271833.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7793" title="BubbleFish" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271833.jpg" alt="P9271833 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>More kitschy junk.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271829.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7794" title="BubbleRoomKitsch" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271829.jpg" alt="P9271829 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>A Macy&#8217;s Store Christmas window display.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271832.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7795" title="BubbleRoomMacys" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271832.jpg" alt="P9271832 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="576" height="432" /></a></p>
<p>From the choo-choo train traveling overhead, to the servers dressed in patch-worked uniforms as &#8220;Bubble Scouts&#8221;, this piece of nostalgic dining is pure magic. If you&#8217;re ever in South Florida, a trip to The Bubble Room is worth the diversion (<a title="Solo Travel Girl Bubble Room Post" href="http://www.solotravelgirl.com/table-for-one-is-everyone-watching/" target="_blank">even if you&#8217;re dining alone</a>). Thousands of unique artifacts, twinkling lights and wall art make up for the sub-par food.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271820.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-7797" title="BubbleRoomCage" src="http://adventureswithben.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/P9271820.jpg" alt="P9271820 Dining at The Bubble Room: Travel Kitsch at its Finest!" width="432" height="576" /></a></p>

<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;ll see you out there&#8230;!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Oh, and even <a title="Bubble Room Homepage" href="http://bubbleroomrestaurant.com/frameset.html" target="_blank">their homepage</a> is kitschy. It&#8217;s stuck in the web of the 1990&#8242;s with frames, and animated gifs!</p>
