If you’re a fan on facebook, you may have spotted my adventures in Disneyland, including dining at Club 33. But today’s post isn’t about this super secret club, but what I had for breakfast everyday… for 3 days.

Cinnamon Buns!
That’s right, for everyday I was at the Disneyland Resort in California, I ate Cinnamon Buns for breakfast. I found them at both the Jolly Holiday Bakery on Main Street in Disneyland and the Taste Pilot’s Grill at Disney’s California Adventure. They were warm, moist and had hot icing melting over the top. So delicious.

I went out for breakfast with mom recently to First Watch – a healthful cafe located in Orlando. Breakfast with mom is special because it’s nice to do something with just one parent (dad and I went skydiving). Plus, going out for breakfast is a casual, relaxing way to start the day.
Spend some quality time with your mom. Tell her that you love her.
I’ll see you out there…!

I wrote last week that I was alone on Valentine’s Day. Yes my loved one wasn’t by my side, but I did go out to dinner with a colleague to J. Alexander’s in Cincinnati. Without hesitation, it was the best meal I have ever had.

Now, I know, that was a very strong statement to make. The best meal ever means that out of all the meals I have ever eaten (over 33,000), this one makes the top of the list. That’s a big deal.

The Montgomery Inn Restaurant in Ohio is an icon of American Culinary History. World famous for their ribs, this logo greats you upon arrival at their original location.

Pine 22 is my new favorite restaurant in Orlando. It’s a burger bar on 22 Pine Street in downtown. But it’s way more than any other burger bar. What makes it so special…?
Burgers
When you walk into this modern-designed restaurant, you approach the counter and place your order on a giant pad of paper. Using a pencil, you tick off what you’d like on your burger. You’ll select: meat (vegaterian options available), bun (have the onion bun), cheese, sauce, toppings, premium toppings and sides. With over 300,000 combinations you can’t go wrong. And if you can’t make a choice, combo burgers are available to make a quick choice. Oh, and get the pine fries.

I have a problem. A big problem. I can’t control myself when I eat out. My food pyramid looks like this: steaks, anything with cheese, bread and butter, desserts and of course, a nice glass of red wine. If I’m fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to be traveling on business, the problem is even worse because I order everything I see (since I’m not paying for it), and end up cleaning my plate.

I over indulge, so not to waste anything. And I order everything because I want to try new foods. It’s a vicious cycle. And when I’m on a long, traveling stretch. I’m dining out 2-3 times a day, which is not healthy in the long run.

Without a doubt, The Bubble Room ranks as the #1 kitschy restaurant I’ve ever discovered anywhere IN THE WORLD! That’s a pretty strong statement, I know, but after reading today’s post I think you’ll agree with me. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you spot the building that looks like every color of paint was just poured over it. Let the fun begin!

The Bubble Room does not take reservations, so arrive in advance. Even in the low season when I visited, waits were upwards to an hour or so. Arrive for an early dinner (5:00ish and you’ll walk right in). Plus, it’s easy to find parking in the lot.

Rimpa Lapin was one of the restaurants we dined in while in Pattaya, Thailand. It has one of the best views at night. Check it out.

Hey Explorers,
Have you ever been someplace that you want to keep to yourself because you don’t want others to know about it and spoil it?That’s how we feel about Rimpa Lapin. We don’t want you to go there, not because it’s a bad place, but because we want it all to ourselves. However, today’s your lucky day for 2 reasons: 1) we won’t be in Pattaya again until we can save our pennies for a plane ticket, and 2) they’re a sponsor of the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Competition so it we’re kinda obligated to talk about them.

As part of our experience as Ultimate Thailand Explorers, Brian and I indulged on a Sabai Sabai made from Mekhong Whiskey. Take a look.

Hey Explorers,
We have a few more sponsor thank you’s to share with you before we wrap up our blog. After arriving back to Bangkok from Pattaya we celebrated with our sponsors at the Amari Watergate Hotel; Mekhong Whiskey. One of the bartenders from the Amari shared with us how to make a cocktail with Mekhong Whiskey called the “Sabai Sabai”. Who doesn’t love a good cocktail right?

I spotted this one at the Houston Airport during a layover, and I must say, after having Airport Tacos, the men’s room can certainly turn into a severe weather area! And the toilet bowl swirls just like indicated in the photo!
