As an adventurer, I’ve done some pretty adrenaline-inducing activities. From bungee jumping in front of Victoria Falls, walking with lions in South Africa, SCUBA Diving with Sharks in the Great Barrier Reef and (yes) eating jellyfish in Singapore, I’ve had my share of thrills. But one thing was missing from that list – Skydiving.
Skydiving is arguably the ultimate of adventure sports. And for many reasons, I always left it at the bottom of the adventure list.

What Boundaries? Live Your Dream! is a travel book by fellow travel bloggers Lisa Chavis and Cheryl MacDonald of What Boundaries Travel.
Buy it.
Let me tell you why…
First things first, Lisa and Cheryl are wonderful friends of mine. Their zest for life, adventure and travel is infectious. And that spirit continues in their book. It’s a quick, fun read as they recant their tales from a backpacking trip throughout Europe. You’ll laugh as they drive through Italy with underwear hanging from the back of their car (dryers tend to, well… not dry in Europe), empathize with an encounter with pickpockets in France, share in the frustration of missing that one, perfect, photo spot on the Island of Santorini in Greece and chuckle at their muddy trek into the cow and horse pastures of Austria.

Over the weekend I got muddy, really muddy as a competitor in the Orlando Columbia Muddy Buddy Ride and Run Series*. At the encourage of my buddy Eddie, I woke up mega-early and exercised more in the first few hours of dawn than I have ever exercised in the last 5 years of my life. Lucky for him, it was all worth it. If you’re considering getting muddy yourself, here are 12 tips to ensure that you have the muddiest of times!!!

Game Night (part 4 of a 5-part series) is one of my favorite Money Saving Tips. For a one-time, small investment up front, you’ll have endless weekends of free fun in-between trips.
In no particular order, here are a few of my favorite board games. You can find them at your local toy or book store. I provided you with the Amazon.com listing. You can also stop by the house and play with me if you’re ever in town!

Today’s post is a review about a gay club in Orlando. If that doesn’t interest you, then you can read about Great White Shark Diving in South Africa.
On Saturday night I had the opportunity to visit Mr. Sisters. It’s a new gay club in Orlando. A much-hyped club. Was it worth it? Here’s a report card from it’s opening weekend.
Parking:
Parking will cost you $5.00 for Valet and $10.00 for VIP Valet. Free parking near to the club wasn’t presented as an option. On the plus side, the club charges no cover. However…

Like many Americans, a part of my Thanksgiving Holiday Tradition is watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Year after year after year while I was growing up I saw the latest in Broadway Musicals, Balloons and Musicians. From the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Pattaya Blog [originally published 26 December 2009].
I’m taking another blogging break, and yes so soon after the last one. There’s still lots to do to plan for Australia, and I’m putting the finishing touches on the online store. It’s a lot of juggling. So while I spend the week working on other priorities, enjoy some more posts from my experience in the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Competition. Need details? You can learn more about the competition here.
Today’s posts was a fun one. Brian and I asked you to caption a photo of Brian sitting on a crocodile at the Sriracha Tiger Zoo.

Hey Adventurers,
Today’s post is a quickie, but I know you’ll enjoy it.
No, I’m not moving to Shanghai – a good friend of mine just did. She’s teaching English in China for 2 years. Rebecca has been blogging from Shanghai for about a few weeks now. For brief, funny stories about culturally adjusting in China, check out “Knee How” Shanghai.
I’ve already enjoyed her trying to figure out how to operate a washing machine, hail a cab and walk the streets of Shanghai. A true adventurer!
I’ll see you out there…!

Sometimes you can find adventure close to home. In today’s post, every Saturday from 630-900 P.M.
If you’ve followed my semi-regular updates on twitter, you know I’m in a weekly bowling league in Orlando. Brian and I joined last summer. We were tired of spending Saturday nights at home, wondering what we should do. Neither of us had bowled before. But with the encouragement of some friends, we tried something new.
And every Saturday we bowl, under the guise of “The Pin Drops”.
At the beginning, my bowling average was a 115. That’s not great. It’s above 100 – which is good, but there’s lots of room for improvement.
