Sometimes you can find adventure close to home. In today’s post, every Saturday from 630-900 P.M.
If you’ve followed my semi-regular updates on twitter, you know I’m in a weekly bowling league in Orlando. Brian and I joined last summer. We were tired of spending Saturday nights at home, wondering what we should do. Neither of us had bowled before. But with the encouragement of some friends, we tried something new.
And every Saturday we bowl, under the guise of “The Pin Drops”.
At the beginning, my bowling average was a 115. That’s not great. It’s above 100 – which is good, but there’s lots of room for improvement.

Alright adventurers,
We need everyone’s help here. My buddy Kyle Berner, CEO of Feelgoodz, has been affected by the BP Oil Spill. He was supposed to start selling his summer line of flip flops early this summer, but couldn’t because his shipment was delayed to the Port of New Orleans because of the spill. So with a much shorter selling season, he’s been struggling to make his sales and repay a loan that’s due on Wednesday. You can read the full story at Change.org.

Over the weekend I finally had the chance to participate in The City Scramble. In exchange for promotion on this site, The City Scramble granted me one free entry to any of their races. So Brian and I made a trip up to St. Augustine this past weekend and participated in the race. Here’s some hints and tips to help you win The City Scramble when it comes to your town.
1. Plan Your Route

My “to do” list:
- Work a full-time job 40-50 hours/week
- Travel all the time
- Write 5 blog posts/ week
- Set-up an online retail store
- Create a 60-minute speech
- Manage a household
- Seek out non-stop adventures
“Stop and smell the roses.”
That’s what mom said to me yesterday. I’ve developed a bit of a sore throat and cold from burning the candles at both ends. My “to do” list, keeps me busy. Sometimes too busy.
Yes, seeking out adventures is fun and exciting, but it can also take it’s toll on you and your body. That’s where I’m at right now.

In part 2 of my 2-part series on traveling like a rock star, today’s post takes a look at nightlife in Miami. (You can read yesterday’s post about staying at a rock star hotel here).
LIV is one of the premier nightclubs in Miami. It’s located in the Fontainebleau Hotel. Lady Gaga performed there New Year’s Eve, Ryan Seacrest has been seen inside and Paris Hilton has been kicked out of it. As you can see, if there’s any club to go to in Miami, this is the one. So where else should I have spent Saturday night but LIV. The only challenge…how do you get into this super awesome club?

Quick, leave work early. Feelgoodz Flip Flops are arriving in Orlando today!
What are Feelgoodz?

Feelgoodz are Flip Flops.
But not just any flip flops; they come from Thailand and are the most comfortable flip flops ever, seriously! I wore them all around Pattaya when I packed them for my trip to Thailand during the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Competition.

With the official start of our blogging assignment underway, we took an opportunity to provide some background on who we were to hopefully attract more voters who may have just started to follow the competition. A family photo album was the medium.
I’ll see you out there…!

In an effort to reach out to new voters and new ways of promotion, I partnered with my friend Kyle Berner, CEO of Feelgoodz Flip Flops. His sells flip flops made in Thailand. We bought some, packed them in our suitcase and brought them with us. We promoted him, he promoted us. I don’t know how many voters or press that got us, but his flops are really comfortable. You should definitely check them out!

Talk to anyone who travels frequently and chances are, they’ll be able to weave a good story or two; myself included. Such was the case last week when I arrived into Providence Airport on Southwest Airlines. It was around 11:15 P.M. and I knew my parents were looking forward to seeing me. So I thought I’d have a bit of fun with them. While I was making the 30-minute drive from the airport to their house I gave them a phone call…

The City Scramble was in Orlando back in March and coming soon, they’ll be in Daytona Beach, not a long drive for any of you readers here in Central Florida (or along the East Coast for that matter)!
