This past Saturday, International Pillow Fight Day was celebrated all-over the world, including Orlando. I had so much at Pillowlando (as it’s known locally) in 2010, that I just had to do it again. This year, the event took place at Lake Highland Park with between 50-75 Pillow Fighters in attendance. Here are some photos and video from the event…

After a brief welcome, the pillow fighters engaged in all-out attacks!

The smiley-faced pillow fighters have been here before! And team orange was strong in numbers!

Some pillow fighters are quite serious about the sport!

While others dress up; In this case, like a Panda. Notice the fish pillow on the right. Pillows of all styles are welcome. Though no feather pillows please!

The pillow fight only lasted 30-minutes, but after only a few minutes, people start dropping out and getting tired. But with 5-minutes remaining, everyone gets their second wind and it’s game-on for one last fight!

In a celebratory finale, everyone threw their pillows up in the air! Mine of course, was the trademark Zebra-print pillow (used for pillow fighting only, not for sleeping)!
