Celebrate Halloween! And Every Holiday For That Matter. Here’s Why…

photo 768x1024 Celebrate Halloween! And Every Holiday For That Matter. Heres Why...

Happy Halloween!

The last time I celebrated Halloween was in 2006. Yes, it’s been almost 5 years since I put on a costume, handed out candy and enjoyed the revelry of celebrating our darkest fears. From 2007-2010 I have been out of the country on business: Three years in South Africa and one in Canada.

Travel Tip: Trick-or-Treaters don’t visit hotels. And TSA Agents don’t wear Halloween costumes either (but some people in airports do).

Holiday are important. But like a lot of things that are important, we don’t recognize how special they are until we lose them.

How a Bowling Win is Like Blogging

Why Winning a Bowling Tournament is Like Blogging

Last year you may remember my post on “How to Get Your Name on a Plaque at a Bowling Alley“. Well… on Saturday night, my bowling league held it’s end of the year awards ceremony and I am excited to share that for the 2nd year in a row, I have won the tournament of 128 bowlers.

What was the secret?

I make no claims to be an expert bowler, my average is a steady 142. But playing regularly, remaining focused on the goal, getting lucky and enjoying the ride all contributed to preserving my name and reputation for posterity – in the foyer of a bowling alley!

the office of adventures with ben LLC, where all the magic happens

As part of my new, monthly feature, The Travel Question of the Month, Travel Bloggers from around the world were asked to answer the following question:

What New Year’s Resolution would you suggest for aspiring travelers?

Here’s what they had to say…

Laurel R | Expat Germany | Twitter |

Start by traveling in your own back yard! When’s the last time you visited a museum, or checked out a new part of town?  Travel is more of a mind set and doesn’t have to be to far off destinations (although those can be nice too!)

How to Plan Your New Year’s Resolutions!

Shoes 300x225 How to Plan Your New Years Resolutions!Happy Monday Adventurers!

For all you American Readers, welcome back from the Thanksgiving Holiday. For everyone, I have a question for you…

What’s Your New Year’s Resolution?

I know that’s not a question you’re used to hearing in November. Probably like many of you, I did some traveling this holiday break and went to Ft. Lauderdale to attend a Softball Tournament. I’m a spectator, not a player. With 15 hours at the ball field with my feet against the fence, I had some downtime to think about my New Year’s Resolution for this travel blog.
