Hey Adventurers,
With 2011 quickly drawing to a close it’s almost time to look ahead to travel blog goal setting for 2012 (but I still have about 2 months to complete New Year’s Resolutions for 2011). With the announcement of my travel ebooks online store last week, this week I’m announcing the adventures with ben travel newsletter – a major feature of 2012.
It’s yet another way to share with you more great travel tips and adventures.

Hey Adventures,
Today’s post is part travel resource, part advertisement. You may be aware of my online travel store, which for the last year, has been selling the Tugo Travel Cup Holder and Mirror Sleeves. Well I am finally excited (and ready), to share that I now have travel ebooks available for download.

Hey Adventurers,
Today is a quick update on a new development with adventureswithben.com. In remaining focused on one of my 2011 New Year’s Resolutions to build brand awareness of this travel blog outside of the travel community, I’m excited to share that I’ve become a Travel Columnist for the Conway News.
The Conway News is a local, community paper that serves several of the neighborhoods the Orlando Area. It’s published monthly and has a circulation of over 20,000 homes. My first article debuted in the February 2011 issue. You can read it online here. Scroll to page 30.

Preparing for my speech at the Orlando Public Library has kept me quite busy this month. Friday’s posts will be from the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Pattaya Blog. Originally published on the competition site, republished here for posterity.
After a day in Bangkok, planning our itinerary, it was time for the Tourism Authority of Thailand to celebrate our departure to our chosen city; Pattaya.
Have a great weekend.

Over the past few days as I have read several reports and articles on the protests, shootings and unrest that is unfolding in Thailand I’ve been questioning some of my beliefs as a traveler. It’s awfully sad to read about these kinds of events after you’ve visited those countries where they are happening. It makes the problem real. It’s not just text on paper, and ink in a photo, but a serious event with serious consequences happening to real people – some of them friends we travelers have made along the way.

How to Get on TV
Last week I wrote about Watching The Ellen Show Tape at Universal Studios. Well as luck would have it – and that’s exactly what it was, I ended up at the taping of America’s Got Talent. It was at the Hard Rock Live at Universal Orlando. I’m pleased to be able to share with you what the experience was like. And as an added bonus, I’ve got some tips to share with you on “how to get on TV” – because I think I’ll be on it.

Growing up, I used to watch The Price is Right every morning at 11 A.M. during school break. Watching the show tape with host Bob Barker was on My Adventure List – until he retired. However, I’ve always been fascinated with the Entertainment Industry and love watching how the magic happens. On Sunday I had the opportunity to watch The Ellen Show tape at Universal Orlando. This was my first television taping experience. So I’ve created some tips to help your first taping be successful.
