While the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade is the highlight of the month-long festival, the after party is generally what everyone talks about. It is one of the largest dance parties imaginable. The event starts at 10 P.M. and lasts until 8:00 the following morning. That’s ten hours of non-stop dance! 15,000 people make their way to the party every year as a final farewell until next year’s celebration. But with ticket prices over $130 per person, is it worth it?

It’s really hot in Orlando right now, so I thought I would cool things down with a trip down memory lane to Sydney. Cool things down in Sydney? Really?

Absolutely! I was reviewing some photos on my computer over the weekend and came across a trip I took to Sydney, Nova Scotia in Canada. Yes, there are at least two Sydney’s in the world and they are very different from each other. On this particular trip, it was below freezing outside.

Hey Adventurers,

There’s nothing wrong with being a tourist and doing the touristy attractions. My primary purpose in traveling is to have fun, and there are some awesome, fun things around the world that are on the beaten path. Today’s adventure takes you to one such place near Cape Town, South Africa: Moyo.

Moyo is a restaurant chain located throughout South Africa. It combines traditional, African cuisine with African entertainment. After wine tasting at Spier, we decided to dine at Moyo’s location in Stellenbosch. Take a look in this YouTube video.

It’s been a while since attending my last concert, Britney Spears’s Circus, so I was quite thrilled to score some tickets to the Lady Gaga Monster Ball 2011 Tour when it came to the new Amway Center in Orlando. Now when I say “score some tickets”, what I really mean is “pay a friend $100 for a ticket because someone else bailed on him.” One hundred dollars is a lot of money for this adventurer – especially when I discovered that my seat was in the VERY LAST ROW of the Amway Center. That’s right, the only thing behind me was a concrete wall. You can’t get any further back than that. Was the concert worth it? Absolutely. Summer is only a few short months away but I’m already planning my social calendar. And in Orlando, the unofficial start of summer is Gay Days. Gay Days is celebrated the first weekend in June all around Orlando and it’s filled with special events, theme park get-togethers and dance parties. But perhaps one of the most highly anticipated and popular parties is Riptide.
