The City of Bangkok is known for it’s many sky bars – rooftop bars towering over the city. And if there’s one bar that you should visit on your trip to Thailand, it’s The Dome at Lebua – made famous from it’s appearance in a Bombay Sapphire ad.

Located on the 63rd floor of the State Tower, the Sky Bar is a classy establishment and one of Bangkok’s finest. There is a dress code to enter, though nothing too strict. No shorts, jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, etc.

Reservations aren’t required for the bar, though you’ll want to call ahead for the adjacent restaurant Sirocco, located near the signature dome.

While the drinks are on the pricey-side, it’s a decent first-stop for a night on the town as the sun begins to set. Flash photography at the bar isn’t permitted, so take your photos before it gets too dark.

Whenever you travel, I believe it’s important to celebrate the moment. Celebrate the courage of flying from home to a land unknown, celebrate the accomplishment of saving your money for a dream destination and celebrate with the ones you love who are joining you.
