It’s only appropriate so close to Christmas that today’s post includes a photo that served as our Christmas Card for 2009. You’ll see it at the bottom.
If you want to escape the beach and do something different during the day in Pattaya, today’s post is just for you.
Merry Christmas to all of you celebrating!

Ronald McDonald is a clown.
Clowns scare me.
Therefore, using the transitive property of mathematics… Ronald McDonald scares me. The combination of ketchup-red hair, a mustard-yellow jumpsuit and these giant red lips on a pale, white face is just plain creepy.
Yet who could resist taking a photo like this in front of a McDonald’s in Bangkok, Thailand?
They are everywhere!

One of the adventures I like to have when I travel is eating at McDonald’s. It’s fun to compare the menu selection, taste and general representation of this super-sized American Brand. Sometimes you come across shocking discoveries like this statue of Ronald McDonald in Thailand and others like…

Our first hotel in Pattaya was the Ocean Marina Yacht Club. It was just a few minutes beyond the downtown area. Here’s our recap from our stay there. Have a great weekend.

Hey Explorers,
Is it just us, or does every hotel we stay at always have more comfortable pillows, blankets, and sheets than our own bed? The Ocean Marina Yacht Club, our first hotel in Pattaya, stays true to tradition and will make for a comfortable, peaceful retreat from the noise of Pattaya – while maintaining those stunning ocean views.

Flight of the Gibbon was a zip-line adventure in the Thai Rainforest. You’ll see it all below. The cool part was, after we were done with the competition, the company that manages Flight of the Gibbon wanted to use our video on their homepage. We made a special version that eliminated imagery of alcohol on our t-shirts, lol. You can view it here and here.

If you’re going to Pattaya, Thailand – you must eat at Easy Corner Pub & Restaurant. It was, hands down, my favorite place to eat.
Happy Black Friday. If you’re looking for some shopping ideas for travelers, be sure to visit my online travel store.

Hey Explorers,
First of all, Happy New Year!

We discovered, quite possibly, our favorite dinner destination in Pattaya, Easy Corner Pub & Restaurant. Let’s tell you why:

I’m quite proud of today’s post. We had to create a promotional video and I think this one was fantastic. The music, pacing and visuals are pretty darn good for an amateur commercial What do you think?

Hey Explorers,
We’re taking a quick intermission from your regularly scheduled content for a quick commercial break. Each of the five teams have been challenged to create a 2-minute promotional video for the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Amazing Thailand Amazing Value marketing campaign.

Yesterday’s post was about eating bugs. Today, we dine at a luxury resort. All in a day’s work blogging for the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
Happy Veteran’s Day!

Thailand is known for it’s many floating markets. We had a great time at the one in Pattaya, experiencing a lot of firsts:
- dining on the ground
- eating bugs
- getting a fish massage
- feeding goats
Enjoy an adventure in trying new things!

Before you read today’s post. Have you added your caption to our photo from the Sriracha Tiger Zoo? It’s not too late. Click here first, then return back to read all about the floating market. There are some fun captions already there. We’d love to read yours!

Thailand, especially Pattaya, is known for it’s LadyBoys. In most instances, the unsuspecting tourist takes one of these ladies home and…surprise! But in today’s post, the City of Pattaya has created a show featuring these men who dress as women. It’s the ultimate drag show. World Renowned.
Enjoy, Tiffany’s Show!
*****

Hey Explorers,
Have you ever been to a drag show? Yes we’re talking about those shows where men dress up in costumes, lip sync (oftentimes poorly we might add) and impersonate Cher, Madonna and every other diva out there? Well…Tiffany’s show is everything but that – except for the men dressing up like women part.

I’m taking another blogging break, and yes so soon after the last one. There’s still lots to do to plan for Australia, and I’m putting the finishing touches on the online store. It’s a lot of juggling. So while I spend the week working on other priorities, enjoy some more posts from my experience in the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Competition. Need details? You can learn more about the competition here.
Today’s posts was a fun one. Brian and I asked you to caption a photo of Brian sitting on a crocodile at the Sriracha Tiger Zoo.
