When I was packing for my trip to Thailand I included a pair of Feelgoodz Flip Flops. They’re made from a good friend of mine, Kyle Berner. He’s CEO of Feelgoodz, a New Orleans based business. Of course on my trip to the Crescent City I had to stop by and see his operation in full swing.
After teaching English in Thailand for a year, he wanted to find a way to give back to a country that had given him so much. His idea…flip flops.
Made in Thailand out of all-natural rubber. They are comfortable, stylish and biodegradable. Put ‘em in a worm bin and they’re gone in a few short months! He says with much pride that New Orleans is a city thriving with entrepreneurs (which I met many). With a unique niche and commitment to success, Kyle has taken a small operation and blown it up to an ever-increasing national market.
On the day of our visit Kyle was busy fulfilling orders for 7 Whole Foods stores in Florida – a new market for his flops. In a never-before-seen moment, I had the opportunity to peak inside the flop cave (a donated basement by a fellow New Orleanian), and capture exactly how Feelgoodz orders are fulfilled.
