Central Florida TBEX Chapter is Official
This past Sunday 13 Travel Bloggers from Tampa, Orlando and Daytona Beach Regions met at the Orlando Science Center for the Central Florida TBEX Chapter Launch Party. (*And if you’re not a travel blogger you can read about an irreverent magazine article about what Brazil is encouraging their citizens to do in the name conserving water.)
The event started off with a welcome from Jeff Stanford, VP of Communications for the Orlando Science Center and Susan Lomx, VP of Publicity for the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau. Both organizations were instrumental in helping us organize the event, including the donation of function space by the Orlando Science Center.
After introductions by the travel bloggers in attendance (read this recap post from Central Florida Top 5 for the attendee list), the group got to work and discussed how this chapter could serve the Travel Blogging Community in Central Florida.
With formalities over, the group spent the remainder of the afternoon exploring the Orlando Science Center’s exhibits.
And as travel bloggers do, a few of us kept the evening going with dinner and drinks at Funky Monkey Wine Company.
Our next meet-up will be in early 2011. If you’d like to join us at our next event, be sure to join our group on the TBEX Website for all the details. The Central Florida Chapter of Travel Blog Exchange is open to any travel bloggers in the Central Florida Corridor (and beyond).
