So... Heres a Video of Me Eating a Dog Treat

Earlier this summer I made a trip to Piglet’s Pantry in Mount Dora and sampled their dog food. All their dog food is made from human-grade ingredients. So while it may make you shiver thinking about dining on it, there truly is nothing in there that humans don’t eat.

So what did it taste like? Take a look in this YouTube Video:

Yummy… er kinda.

And if you’d like to listen to the Podcast Episode with even more fun, click here.

Piglet’s is great fun if you are a dog and cat lover. Located in Mount Dora, Florida you can find all sorts of breed-specific merchandise for sale. You can bring in your own pet and on the 3rd Friday of the month, celebrate Yappy Hour – where you get discounts on food and wine at the Wine Den! Stop on by next time you’re in Orlando.

Until then, you can follow Piglet’s Pantry on Facebook  and twitter too (and if you visit them, they might let you try a dog treat too!)

Would you ever eat a dog treat? Share by commenting!

I’ll see you out there…!

I don’t like cats, but I love dogs and seeing that I’ll be close to Orlando when I return to Miami in December, I think I might go and join Yappy Hour.

They are right next to a Wine Bar, so it’s a perfect marriage!

On the one hand, I’m curious to know what they taste like, on the other, I’m glad you were the guinea pig! Strange that it was spongy, I wouldn’t think dogs would like that texture.

Dogs eat anything but lettuce, at least my dog does.

When I was a kid, I took a little bite of our dog’s food just to know what it tasted like. And I’m pretty sure it wasn’t using all human-grade ingredients :-)

Kudos for trying the dog treat. It makes sense right? Why feed your dog something you couldn’t safely eat yourself.
Did it taste at all similar to a human peanut butter cookie?

I was half expecting it to taste like a human cookie, but it wasn’t. There was hardly a peanut butter taste. The cookie was soft, but spongy. Not a great after taste (for humans). But probably better than Vietnamese Snakes!
