I’ll see you out there…! (and Orlando, I’ll see you waaay out there!)

Hi Ben!
Loved your lion walk!
When in Cape Town, go and enjoy very fresh fish at the Mariners’Wharf in Houtbay Harbour. Good value and taste! Fantastic scenery, drive, ambiance and if you’re lucky you’ll meet an over-fed seal who gets out of the water to get yet another meal from his fisherman friend. Completely tame and begging for fish with watery eyes no-one can resist!
And if you’re daring, or wanna brag, there’s a nudist beach just round the corner – Sandy Bay!
Ben, when in Polokwane, go see the melted guns at the art gallery in the CBD. Quite something! Also ask to be taken to Makapan’s cave to the South of town. History that will blow your mind there. That’s where Pres. Paul Kruger became a hero as a young man. I you need the stories, let me know or surf the Internet for more.
Piet
Ben, while in Nelspruit, an absolute MUST is a trip up to Graskop, God’s Window, Pelgrims rest, Sabie etc. Just about 2Km South of Graskop is a board indicating a Rest Camp called PANORAMA. DO NOT MISS THE VIEW FROM THERE! Turn in there and from the restaurant and pool fill a whole SD-card with pictures! Its the only place I set my alarm to 5:00 not to miss the sunrise from my bed! Magnificent! On a clear day you can see right into Kruger Park from there! Bungy and waterfalls from right there too! You have never seen such a view from inside a pool!
When traveling inland from Richards Bay, try to visit the Blood River site and the Zulu kraal Ungungundlovu. Blood River is where a mere 470 Voortrekker men, assisted by their wives and children conquered Dingaan’s 12,500 Zulus after making a covenant to God. Not a single Voortrekker got killed in that battle! A miracle that is being commemorated on 16 December to this day.
Piet,
Thanks so much for the tips. I have a lot of work cut out for me. Now if I can only find the time to make it there!
Appreciate the tips – really!
I’ll see you out there…!
