Ultimate Thailand Explorers Ben and Brian Find a Thai Restaurant

  • Sharebar

Sa wat dee krap Explorers,

Brian and I recently went to a local Thai restaurant here in Orlando, Sea Thai to celebrate our entry into the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Competition. Brian has had Thai food before, but this was my first Thai, culinary experience – and while I didn’t know what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised. Sea Thai is about a 10 minute drive from our house. From the shopping plaza outside you wouldn’t be able to tell what a gem it is inside.

We started out with the Fresh Summer Rolls which had shrimp and chicken rolled with basil carrots and lettuce. It came with peanut sauce on the side, which I could have drunk with a straw! Peanut Sauce is absolutely divine if you’ve never had it.

For my entree, I choose Pepper Steak Sautee with Beef and Brian had a spicy Shrimp Sautee. Equally delicious – though Brian became a member of the clean plate club while I left some of my vegetables behind.

The best part of any meal is always dessert and our meal was no exception. We ordered the Thai donuts. This sweet dessert is essentially fried dough topped with peanuts, sugar and vanilla dipping sauces. We virtually licked the plate clean.

Sea Thai is run by Thai people, so it’s pretty authentic. However, it’s not truly the real thing unless our meal is enjoyed in Thailand. And with your help, we can bring you all the Thai food you can eat from Pattaya. Please continue to vote for Ben and Brian at Ultimate Thailand Explorers.com. While you are at it, please support Greg and Phil for Chiang Mai and Connor and Mike for Phuket. Only 16 days left!
