Last night we went to the movies with some friends and afterwards on the drive home noticed that the Krispy Kreme light was on. When that neon sign is bright red everyone knows that the donuts are being made fresh. We parked our car in the lot.
When we stepped out, the side door was locked, it was 930 at night. We were about to get back in the car when this guy in the car next to ours stepped out and said that the store was open, we just had to use the front door. So in the front door we went and behind us this random guy followed with a big Krispy Kreme cup in hand.
He walked right behind the counter. It was bizzare to see the employee sitting in his car and then get back to work to take our order. What was he doing in his car?
After our order of donuts we left and he returned to his car. Was he on break? Or could he have been doin something top secret in his car? Maybe mixing a cocktail in that big cup of his to get through the night?
We may never know, but the donuts were yummy just the same. Although I might add, I think they have shrunk in size. They seemed smaller than I remember. Has anyone else noticed this?
