adventures with ben is Named a Top 100 Travel Blogger!
If you are a fan of adventures with ben on Facebook, you may have seen over the weekend that this blog was included in a list of Top 100 Travel Bloggers Hotels and Airlines Should Fly Out First Class.
First and foremost, thank you for making that possible. Through your comments, e-mails, re-tweets and readership, you have made that possible – and I never take that for granted.
The list was compiled by HackingTravel.com and includes a diverse makeup of bloggers. While I’m not sure what criteria they used to create the list, I am, at the very least honored to be included. It’s always nice to be thought of, no matter how big or small the organization may be. They took the time to recognize the value you provide to the people you serve – and that is something to always appreciate and reflect upon.
Why Bloggers are Valuable
The article builds a business case for tourism providers to start investing their marketing efforts towards travel bloggers. That’s where the future is and that’s where you’ll receive the biggest ROI. Travel bloggers have loyal, engaged readers (that’s you) and offer an objective opinion. They also build brand awareness that print media can’t do as well anymore. (For some additional insight into the future of travel blogging you should also read Question #5 from EverythingEverwhere.)
Obviously you and I know how important bloggers are – otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this. Bloggers and blogging are becoming more influential and the first “go to” resource to plan a trip. The successful bloggers are informative, entertaining and professional.
When I started writing this blog it was meant as a place to capture my adventures for posterity. And over the past 15 months it’s expanded to a robust business that’s still growing by the day; Growing in size, scope and readers. Thank you for coming along on this adventure with me. The best is yet to come. I can promise you that.
I’ll see you out there…! And thank you.
