That was what you saw on Sunday, and I think it may have confused some of you. But if you look at it in context, it reads in full:

It’s August which means that summer is drawing to a near. August also happens to be a wonderful time to visit Seattle. The weather is beautiful, the temperature perfect and the city sights are worth a few days of exploring. Such was the case last August on a trip I took to Seattle. No trip to Seattle is complete without visiting the famous Pike Place Market.

Pike Place Market

The Pike Place Market is better know as, “the place where they throw the fish”. But there’s a whole lot more to the market besides fish. In fact, I’m saving the fish stories for another post. The market experience begins outside the designated building on the sidewalks leading up to the market. Here you can purchase a variety of goods from ceramics, umbrellas, tents and clothing apparel. I found an especially colorful collection of purses on display. Sadly, I didn’t have a dress that they went with, so I had to decline the attractive accessory.

Inside the market are a wide variety of pastas, flowers, fruits, vegetables and yes, fish. You’ll also find the occasional souvenir stand with Seattle Magnets and clothing, but most of the items are edible in nature. The fruits and vegetables are ready to eat and very enticing. Just look at these blueberries. I could have purchased the whole flat!

After spending your time browsing you’ll work up your appetite. There are plenty of local restaurants nearby to indulge in. Everything from wine and cheese to candies and ice cream, Pike Place is an easy place to spend a few hours. If you time it right, have a dinner along the water and watch the boats pass by as the sun sets behind the neighboring hills.
