In my ongoing postings from my 2 weeks in Pattaya, Thailand, we’ll end the week with the Briefing Session we attend. It was here that we confirmed our itinerary with all the things to do in Pattaya.
Given that it’s a 3-day weekend here in the U.S., what plans do you have? There’s plenty of things to do!

Hey Explorers,
The realization of 3 months of hard work is coming true. Today was our briefing session where all the teams reviewed their itinerary and learned all of the logistics for our 6-Day assignment. Here’s a YouTube video of our morning.
Today felt like we were in an episode of The Apprentice – for those of you familiar with the television show. (If you haven’t, it’s a show featuring business mogul Donald Trump challenging teams of people to complete business tasks to avoid being fired). We met with Mudmee and Lin from the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office. They helped us walk through our itinerary and confirm all the must-see and optional attractions. Did you know that Pattaya has over 30 different attractions? If everything goes according to plan, we’ll be taking you to 20!

We talked at length about how Pattaya is working to increase tourism and how we can best assist them in promoting the city. In addition to our daily blogs, we’ll be responsible for creating some additional promotional videos for the competition sponsors and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. We spent lunch bouncing off some ideas. Unlike The Apprentice, we have more than 24 hours to complete the work, but we have our job cut out for us nonetheless.
We are feeling a mix of emotions right now. We’re excited, anxious, nervous, overwhelmed, tired and ready to rock and roll.

One of the coolest things we heard today came from our host during the briefing session. He said that we are not amateur bloggers anymore, but are now professional bloggers. It hadn’t occurred to us before, but I suppose that yes indeed we are now professional bloggers. That was a really cool moment, to see the realization of all this hard work come to fruition.
Tonight is a welcome dinner with the media, special invited guests and of course all of the other teams. We’ll have our cameras rolling and share with you the action the first chance we get.
There is also another member of our team we want to introduce you to, Mill. He’s our liaison for Pattaya. He’s brave enough to ride with us tomorrow as we navigate the roads of Bangkok in our car. Oh, and we’re driving on the left side of the road. Watch out Thailand!

We have some more photos from the briefing session on our Flickr Site. You can view them here. Also, if you haven’t voted today now is a great time. Consider voting for us.
We’ll see you out there tomorrow!
